What a free mock actually tells you
A single free mock, attempted seriously and analysed properly, is often more useful than a week of untimed practice. Here's what to look for.
A realistic starting point — not what you hope you can do, but what you actually can under a clock.
How often your marked answers are correct, section by section.
Where the timer ran out and which questions consumed disproportionate time.
Which section is a scoring engine today and which is dragging your overall score.
Whether you spent time on hard questions when easier scoring opportunities were still open.
Chapters and question types that are consistently getting missed.
How your accuracy behaves in the final third of the paper versus the first third.
A short list of what to fix before the next mock, instead of vague 'study more' plans.
Why the free mock is worth taking for each exam
CAT
A full CAT mock across VARC, DILR and QA is the fastest way to see how your sectional pacing holds up under a shared clock — and whether your DILR set selection is actually paying off.
GMAT

NMAT

SNAP
SNAP's shared timer and negative-marking scheme reward accuracy over attempts. The free SNAP mock lets you calibrate how many questions you can safely attempt in a single sitting.

How to analyze your free mock test
- Review every question
Attempted, correct, incorrect and skipped — all of them, not just the ones you got wrong.
- Compare accuracy across sections
The section with lowest accuracy usually has the biggest score upside.
- Review time spent
Find questions where the clock quietly drained without a correct answer.
- Flag time-sinks
Identify the two or three questions per section you should have skipped earlier.
- Identify weak topics
Group errors by chapter/question type to see which topics need revision.
- Separate mistake types
Was it a concept gap, a selection error, or a time-management error? Fixes are different.
- Write a plan for the next mock
One or two specific behaviours to change — not a vague 'do better'.
